The Cannon scanner driver is for a while flaky. If you scanned previously but have a problem, sometimes it doesn't completely release the scanner, so when it tries to reconnect, the scanner appears busy. Try disconnecting the scanner and then reconnecting it. If that doesn't work, try posting your cross-examine on the forums at:

Jose L, you need to carry a clue! Most hardware works better on a Mac. One example: I have a Radio Shack mouse that I use beside my Mac. When I first got it and plugged it surrounded by, it worked, just as it does today. No installer needed, and no "please continue while Windows installs..." which is just what I get the other day when I plugged it into a PC!
most hardware isn't compatible near macs unless the thing say mac compatible like my hp scanner say (i have windows)
What Mac OS performance are your running? Mac OS 10? Never heard of it back. Do you mean Mac OS X?
