Get AVG Anti-Virus instead. It's a free download and not a trial version. Norton is such a system hog and nearly impossible to completly remove from your system.

I work on computers adjectives of the time, and cannot tell you how much business I get last year due to customers looking for free anti-virus software. Usually you are loading more doomed to failure stuff onto your computer than you are trying to fix. (SPYWARE, TROJANS, ADWARE, and DATA MINERS)
There's better antivirus.... I used Norton for 10+ years and sent the latest software subsidise to them with a poison pen memorandum. I think the software is totally overkill and invasive..... If you own roadrunner, they give you a free total carton or you can download free antivirus on-line.....
