I really screwed up assistance?
Answer:
Tech support was totally unconscious. A restore was not neccessary. Simple internet configurations be all that it needed. Request the soft ware that be bundled with your system and reload it. Search solutions online within forums and google searches and use tech support as a ending effort. They are getting dumber everyday. I really believe most merely need to know how to read a marks to get a mission.
Kinda SOL without the installs. When you did a system seizure, it formatted your computer to that restore point. everything that you did after that restore point was lost. Sorry for the desperate news....
Like the first answer said, you might be within trouble. Try to see if you can find the original discs that come with your computer, but if you cant find them, later you might have to jump and buy them again.
1. Call HP and request to have Microsoft works on compact disc to be mailed to you.
2. User Google Documents and spreedsheets within the meantime.

Try Open Office from http://www.openoffice.org
Totally free and compatible with MS Office. Much better than works. Other than a finishing resort a full destructive restore is not good. Whose tech support told you to do this? Might be some allowed recourse available.
