Film scanner Epson 4180 Photo. Problem after 'initialising'. Red table lamp flashing. Any thinking why.?

Was is ok before and very soon gone faulty?
Do you own a handbook for troubleshooting?
Have you tried a different USB port?
Have you tried re-installing the driver?
Have you be to the Epson website for FAQ/software updates.
etc.....etc....etc.
Definatley check Epsons website, but with my Epson when it does that I unplug the scanner from the power and unplug the USB cable. Wait 30 second and then try again. It's other worked then.
