I own window 2000 professional and when i try to install updates it fail,how can I fix this problem ?

did you check if you windows is factual because sometimes even if it is genuine 1 out of 100 times it will go amiss rarely though
because microsoft don't support it anymore , its enthusiasm cycle is expired , you need to upgrade to xp
