Anyone know of any realllly appropriate scanners ?

I have be using an Epson Perfection 2450 for about 2.5 years, and it still works great, and I do abundantly of scanning.

The problem beside all scanners that I've used is that the TWAIN driver interface have always be crude. The Epson's is okay, but I'd like something more full feature.
