I hold a alien problem i entail assist next to,my mother board have usb ports built on to the board and two plug ins on?
Answer:
There should be a disc with drivers for your motherboard.
I assume, that while those USB ports be disabled, Windows couldn't detect them and didn't install the neccessary drivers for them.
Furthermore, if the USB Ports are USB 2.0 devices, you need at lowest Service Pack 1 to use them. Since SP1 is not suporrted anymore, you just download Service Pack 2 from the relation below.
You have two option, you can load the drivers from the mobo driver disk, or you can install XP service pack 1 and 2 . Most usb drivers are contained by service pack 2. You can also try to seach for the driver on driversguide.com, providing you know the mobo manf and model..
You might have locked up your usb ports.... Right click on my computer... be in motion to properties. Click on the hardware tab. Then click on device manager. Scroll to the bottom and click on the plus sign subsequent to Univeral serial bus controllers. Right click and choose remove to every item underneath Universal serail bus controllers. Close out of all unfurl windows and consequently restart your computer. Once the computer restarts it will reinstall your usb ports. If this doesnt work.. you want to try and find out what version of motherboard that you own and then flash the bios. Becareful when attempthing to do this yourself. Your motherboard might be an elder version later needed.
did you reset the configuration data within your bios?
check that, reboot and see if the system can reconfig p&p.
if not after try it again and again, sometimes it takes 3 reboots
to grasp through Window's thick skull.
Also try delete the device and searching for it again.
Do you hold a driver that you loaded for it?
install service pack 2, that will fis the usb problem
Hi. Probably you'll need the USB 2.0 driver for your motherboard. Usually, the motherboards (for example mine) enjoy more than 2 usb ports, but only 2 usb entrances at the hindmost of the computer. you can buy a computer case next to usb entrances in the front or some little plates next to usb entrances to be put in the hindmost of the computer near the other cards. There must be some pins (9) on your motherboard, labeled USB. Anyway, your interrogate is software related, so i reccommend you install a usb driver for your motherboard. Good luck!.
PS: I forgot, installing XP service pack 2 may solve your problem.
