How can I turn my scan into a jpg or gif?

I want to download my scan on myspace but it only take jpg or gif so is there anyway i can receive them to have that

you can use your scanner next to it > file / aqquire..

afterwards just salvage as jpeg / gif etc.. supports a lot of formats
