Why does my scanner scan a mirror sign?

lexmark p3120. when i scan a picture, the picture is not facing the right approach... eg... the writing is backwards like you would read contained by a mirror

you should be able to reverse it once scaned press on the reverse statue in the lexmark set up once the pic is shown in the past you save it
