perchance i should reinstall the printer? if so, how?

Answer:
Go to your Program files and find Epson. Then move about into the folder and find the scan program. You will know which one it is if when you open it your scanner program will run. Once you find it, right click on it and distribute it to the desktop as a shortcut.

You can also get an interface tool that will friendly your scanner and it has editing tool beside it
Its Called FastStone Screen Capture Tool.

Which model number Epson do you have?
If you a short time ago hit 'Delete', then it should still be surrounded by the Recycle Bin, check that. If it's not there, follow the other instructions by the other answerer.
