I own scan a form, save it to Word but am unqualified to type into the boxes on the form.?

Does the scanner hold to have positive functions to allow me to do this?

Answer:
OCR is Optical Character Recognition software.
A scanner makes an depiction file, not a record file.
Basically, what you're doing is similar to trying to change the colours or contrast of a photo using Word. Word can't, its a typing program. You own to use image editing software to transformation an image.
OCR software let you use the scanner and turns the image into an editable record file. So you can type surrounded by the boxes, or change the article.
Or as another poster said, open the logo in Paint, and use the manual tool to add your course book, then print it out.
You requirement to use an OCR application, your scanner should have come with one...but for, try SimpleOCR:

No. I am afraid that you cannot do it.
The form is now a picture on your workstation, like a photo if you approaching.
It will be very difficult.
What I would to is to print it rotten, write in the boxes on the printout, after scan that one in instead.
Above answer is spot on - your scan form is now an representation and cannot be eddited by simply typing.

HOWEVER

You said it is now surrounded by Microsoft Word. You could use text boxes over the print (the form you scanned) t give the effect that it have been complete in.

See short tutorial here ( http://learngen.org/resources/leobjects/... )
Scan it to paint programme on ur workstation, it works I have done it myself successfully.
Use manuscript boxes instead in Word. Place them lying on the spots you want to fill contained by and when you print, they'll be there provided you've save a new publication of the doc.
when you scan the form in , does it budge to adobe photshop or similar? If so then you own an option contained by there to edit/modify your document
