How do i scan a picture?

how can i scan a picture my scanner is not unusual or anything my mom gave it to me and i don't own any software with it how can i still scan pictures i wnt to know please relieve me anybody

Get on the internet and go to zd network and look for free scanning software or step to the manufacturer of the scanner and see if they own a software update or program there.
