Trojan winrar\closure.sfx?

Is trojan winrar\fastener.sfx a proper trojan and if so how do I get rid of it

Answers:
Are you sure you didn't receive this:
C:\Program Files\WinRAR\Zip.SFX detected: Trojan.Win32.Agent.tz

.sfx is a compressed file (self extracting file), and is no problem within itself. BUT you may have one next to a trojan.

The forum below discusses this very problem. You might want to check the forum for your Anti-virus software.

I enjoy done a look on the net and found out that your infection is in truth this:

Trojan.Win32.Agent.tz

This should be to hard to remove -touch wood- Simply remove your old-fashioned AV (anti virus) which is especialy good if you are running Norton -- it sucks.

I suggest to use Avast! Free is you do not want to reward... but it looks ugly - still twice the detection rate of Norton. Or Kaspersky, which is the best AV... But expensive.

Use your updated, strange AV to rmeopve the threat.

By the way, the '.sfx' wallet you mentioned is only a compressed archive folder, but the infection may be 'inside' it.
