Scanner problem?

i enjoy a lexmark 1270 printer and scanner the printer works but the scanner doesnt every time i try to scan something the laser thing get jam contained by the corner and it starts making a noise resembling tatatatata, what do you think the problem is. i hold windows vista is that probably the problem

Answer:
Hi, the printer is operate separately to the scanner, from your symptoms the scanner is faulty as the laser is jammed as unwilling if it was a Vista incompatibility problem where on earth the drivers would not have worked and at hand would be no connection from your notebook to your printer/scanner at all.

If you get the printer/scanner with your Vista notebook then it will still be contained by warranty due to Vista not being a year feeble - take it vertebrae if this is the case. But it is noticeably not Vista causing this, operating systems can create communication problems with printers/ scanners but can't engineer them malfunction contained by this manner.
Sounds more close to a hardware defect. The operating system wouldn't brand it go "tatatatata" and preserve up. From the description, it sounds like a stripped gear.

If it's rather new, contact lexmark for a warranty replacement. If it's out of warranty, consider using it basically as a printer and getting a separate scanner.
