Problems next to HP ScanJet 4670?

I enjoy had this scanner for almost 18 months in a minute and it stopped working 6 months ago when I installed SP2 on my Win XP Pro machine. I own tried numerous drivers and methods from the HP site, and none of them help. Anyone else hold this problem and if you did, did you fix it and how did you fix it? There have be a few forums I have checked and I wonder if anyone on Answers have a good answer. Some of the forums read out it has something to do beside Intel MoBos, this is an AMD MoBo with a really fitting USB 2.0 hub built in and I own an auxiliary PCI USB Hub and the scanner does not work in any.

Answer:
first restart it and reconnect .if this is not useful next you can uninstall it or delete it . then connect again to install it's driver again.
Do you start to have an all-in-one printer also attached to your computer? If so, that may be the problem. Also, some digital cameras show up as 'scanners' and that might also inflict the problem. If you have any of these scenarios, disconnect the printer or camera, afterwards connect your scanner and see if that fixes it. If it does fix it, my suggestion would be to either live near swapping out devices or get a newer text of the errant device... Or dump the scanner and get an all-in-one printer/scanner ($30 at wal-mart).
Maybe SP2 delete some of the scanner files.

Why don't you re-install the software for the scanner.

If it worked with SP1... near is no reason why it should not work next to SP2...
