Below is a join for troubleshooting your printer. You may need to update the drivers.
I would travel to the hp web site and download the most up-to-date drivers for your scanner. Once you find them you will have to completely uninstall the mature drivers,restart, then install the untried ones.This happened to me when I installed xp on my moms computer.
