Do you tight you have a photo that you want to set as desktop artwork, or that you want the folder on your desktop?
If you want the picture as desktop artwork, its best to make a copy. Make it 1024 x 769 pixels at 72 dpi.
Then budge to File - Save As either a jaypeg or bitmap. Browse to your My Pics fgolder and gather it there; or put it within C - Windows - Web Wallpaper which is where Windows stores desktop artwork.
To set it right click on an vacant area of your desktop and select Properties - Desktop - Browse. Find it, select it, click Apply next OK.
If you mean you want the wallet on your desktop, you could go to Start - Search and find the folder, later click and drag the file to the desktop.
