It is on the covering for the xp cdrom.
Note: Always write, using a sharpie, the cd/product key on the cdrom, invariably we adjectives loose/trash the cd packaging. This is apposite practice on All cd's that have a cd/product push button. If you've lost the key, you own a big problem.

It comes near every legitimate copy of Windows XP. You can't deceptive it or substitute a crack code. If you have a official copy of XP and it is registered, then Microsoft already have the key code. It is a 25-digit alpha-numeric code.
There are lots of little programs that will find your product knob for you, but I like SIW.

It should be applied somewhere on your notebook.. on the side, front, or back... it is small.. but you should see a Microsoft sign somewhere unless it was custom built and the builder didn't place the sticker on it... you really want the product key you be originally licensed for.
