How can I use a regular scanner to scan negative?
A friend is giving me her Epson perfection scanner. It's a basic model, and doesn't own the special frames for film scan which I have see on other scanners. I have never scan negatives myself. To scan my 35mm and 120 picture negatives, is nearby anything special I need to do? Or do I a moment ago lay them on the glass and close the lid? Should I scan a complete strip and then "cut" and cut them in Photoshop? Or should I scan them a frame at a time? What folder size or file type should I use for the initial scan? Are within special settings for scanning negative? Besides using the "negative" function in Photoshop to gross the images positive, what else should I do to gain a good positive figure from my negatives? I appreciate any tips!
Answer:
No, there's nil too special about it. Just pop the in one piece strip in and scan respectively frame individually (this will give you a better standard scan, and make sure you scan at the matchless res) then stretch out it up and do your thang in photoshop! :)
shift to the Epsom web site and see if within is a film adapter available for your scanner
it works better beside the negative adapter... freshly slid the negitive into the adapter and put it into the scanner. it seperates the photos... depending on the scanner modle i have the 1650...the software will orent and scan the similes from the negative you choose...after you do a preview scan.
