How to run scandisk manually surrounded by window xp sp2?

Answer:
There's 2 ways you can check the disc. You can scan for errors by space my computer and right clicking drive C: /properties/tools and then select check drive for errors.

The other one is start/programs/accessories/sys... tools and disk cleanup.

If you want to do both you can but do the cleanup first
There are two ways to do a disk check underneath Windows XP. If you are comfortable with a command prompt, issue the command below from a DOS prompt or via the Windows/Run command input box. (If you want to scan something excluding the C: drive, then variation the command accordingly.)

CHKDSK C: /F /R

The /F pick means to fix any errors found, and the /R opportunity tells CHKDSK to check scan for doomed to failure disk sectors and restore your health any readable information.

If you're strictly a point & click person, you can still run CHKDSK. Click on My Computer, later right-click on the C: line and select Properties. Now click the Tools tab and below the Error Checking heading you see a button labeled Check Now. Give that sucker a good whack and you're bad to the races.

NOTE: Sometimes CHKDSK cannot correct disk errors because it requirements exclusive access to certain files that are within use. In this case, CHKDSK will submit to run the check automatically when the computer is re-started.

If CHKDSK offers to "convert lost chains to files" or otherwise rest lost data, you should adopt. After CHKDSK finishes, you should look for files named FILE0000.CHK, FILE0001.CHK, etc. You can initiate these files with Notepad or another manuscript editor to see if they contain any useful information.
