Anyone know roughly UMAX Astra 1220P scanners?

I bought this scanner vertebrae in 1999 when I be rockin' Windows '95 and now I use Windows XP. Will it work ?

I checked the instruction brochure for that particular scanner and they don't mention Windows NT, 2000 or XP within it so it's likely that it may not be compatible near XP.

Does Windows XP detect it when you connect it? Sometimes XP uses native (built-in) drivers for elder equipment.
