Scanned directory?

i scan my log into jpg file and next turn into pdf file. However i cant use the 'find' funciton to rummage through for some key words. What should i do?

Answers:
JPG's are sign files, not text documents, so it's close to trying to search a photograph for a word.

Try scan your notes using any Text Recognition mode or (if you have it) Hand Writing mode. This will create a proper article file which can be search, either contained by PDF or a word processor.

The response from jackbassv is absolutely correct. You necessitate to use OCR (Optical Character Recognition) software and scan your notes as certificate.

You can get a free programme call SimpleOCR from the link below. I've never used it so I can't comment on it's usefulness. (Scroll down the page a touch. You'll see it listed on the moved out hand side.)

Alternatively, near are several commercial ones available. (I use ABBYY FineReader.)
