Scanning Kids' Crayon Drawings and Pictures?

How can I scan my child's crayon drawings minus having the crayon rub onto the scanner bed and messing up the scanner bed?

Answer:
Put it within a ziploc bag.
Grab the chalice off a couple of 8 x 10 picture frames, generate a sandwich and scan away.
