How to uninstall mcafee virus scanner?
Do I just remove it next to add/remove programs? Or will that not do the trick?

Add/Remove programs should do the trick. There is probably an "uninstall" option for it within the programs menu.
Use Add/Remove Programs. That will usually work. With me and Macafee, It left for a moment updater thing that I'm still trying to procure out. I think the best choice for you would be to use Add/Remove programs.
Click on start, the control panel, consequently add/remove programs, last in recent times find mcafee and click uninstall
