swissnick is correct, However, he did forget to mention one BIG difference between a SHEET FED Scanner and a FLAT BED Scanner.

The SHEET FED Scanner can NOT be used to copy pages from enunciate books, magzines, etc or any NON FLAT item. It can ONLY copy sheets.
A sheetfed scanner will scan pages from a book.....IF you cleave the pages out of the book.
