Why dos my HP scanner crash window xp?

I really need more information. What be you doing at the time your scanner crashed? Was something else running while you were installing your scanner. If so, that could be the pretext you scanner crashed. Also, when you install something, you are supposed to TEMPORARILY DISABLE your anti virus and any firewall that you have. After the installation, re-enable both programs.

maybe is 'cause contained by not compatible with the window, i mean the drivers , read the instruction book or look for the specifications they will tell you..

within my dealings near hp scanners, you will need to catch an updated driver specifically for xp. search HP.com for your model of scanner.
It really depend on how much space you own on your HD and you Ram.
Check and see what is required and see if you have it.
