Windows Installer Package Problem on XP. Please check details below. Thanks.?

I enjoy been using a Windows XP and a Kodak i40 scanner and Adobe Acrobat 7.0. The scanner showed me an "unrecoverable error" and after that Ive be trying to reinstall the acrobat and I get this message... "This patch package could not be open. Verify that the patch package exists and that you can accessit, or contact the application broker to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer patch package. Any clue? Thanks contained by advance.

Answer:
Looks close to you're installing Acrobat using the Acrobat.msi. Please do so using the Setup program or you may wish to re-download the Acrobat.
First you should upgrade Adobe to 8.0 (free from Adobe). Versions 7.0.8 and lower have vulnerabilities. If you want to stay with Version 7, upgrade to patch 7.0.9, which is also available.
I am not identifiable with Kodak model, but if its a USB nouns then it probably in recent times needs the software removed and consequently re-installed.
I have matching problem but it happens to me every time i try to install a MSI. profile so i would be thankful if you could comfort me :D...
