Just think of scan as xerox-ing only it go directly to a file on your computer strong drive instead of on a piece of paper.

2-scanner will do a pre-scan
3-if you like the pre-scan, click full-scan
4-after it is finished the scanner will ask you WOULD YOU LIKE TO PRINT TO PRINTER OR PRINT TO FILE OR CANCEL
5-its your choice after this 3 choices
1PRINT TO PRINTER make a paper copy
2PRINT TO FILE save it on your pc for after that
3CANCEL will erase it
