Avg scan long time?

hi i download avg internet surety today. and have started running its first complete exam its been running around 1 hour and 20 mins is this correct only it seem a long time to scan a pc. thank you for any feedback.

Answer:
1) It's middle-of-the-road, if you have a nouns of files on your computer, its naturally going to rob longer to scan. Also if you have a slow computer it will embezzle longer. Deleting all cookies and temp files is a correct idea, because they can create hundreds of files which the anti virus software own to check separately.

2)Disk defragmenting barely have any effect nowadays, it unquestionably wont speed up a virus scan by 50%.

3)'oooh macs are so great they dont get viruses' thats because noone can be arsed to craft viruses for them, as just anyone uses them. Low specs high price, OH ITS WHITE AND SHINY!? YES PLEASE

4)I wont argue nearly linux, but there aren't virus made for them because they operate so little of the computer market.

5) The locked mode answer wont really speed the scan up (maybe by 30 seconds?) as starting contained by safe mode in recent times stops all non essential programs (and drivers i THINK) from starting upo. Scanning prunning processes take barely anytime at adjectives. Though if you do have a virus which is using a process, the software will let somebody know you to restart and it will runj before any other processes start up again.

So overall, delete cookies and history. They're supposed to thieve a long time, leaving a virus scan on formerly you go to bed and finishing it surrounded by the morning is usually a good opinion. Defragmenting wont make much difference at adjectives.
yes it does take a while mine does equal
its obvious to help yourself to its time on a first scan, just so it can return with used to ALL of your computer..
when its done, do a disk defragment.. then subsequent time, it shouldnt take partly the time
yes this is normal

to speed it up maintain your pc clear of cast-offs

regularly delete your browsing history and cache - that sort of thing
Yep! It's fine - it really does do open scans of the PC system -
Depends on the size of the tricky drive and number of files it has to scan. Also if you are continuing to use your computer while the scan is running, it can basis everything to slow down.

Best bet is to start a scan and walk away from the computer for a while.
Most Virus and Spyware scan are likely to work better within Windows Safe-Mode.
It is a long time but it has to scan every wallet on your hard drive. AVG is cheap rubbish. Unfortunately the certainty that you choose to use windows finances that you will have to run these annoying antivirus programs that slow down your computer. There are other operating systems out near that don't get virus like Linux and MacOS.
