Scanner Problems?...

How come when I follow the directions to scan a picture on my scanner, it turns out black & white?

This is what I did:

1) I accessible the scanner and placed the picture ontop and closed it.
2) I open "My Computer" and click on Epson and click "OK".
3) I shift over to the scanner and I press "Scan" and then "OK" and next the "Color" button.
4) It starts scanning and a preview of what it looks similar to pops up on my computer BUT it is Black & White! Argh!

What am I doing wrong? Please help me. Thank you

Answer:
Your software setting for the Epson scan may not be set to read/display within Color.

Check your manual for steps to set up the software to see if your reworked copy is.
Some scanners preview in black and white, but scan contained by color.

Also, check the color depth setting on your scanning software. . .
vary scanner
Check the scanner's software setting, i think picture standard are u scanning is grayscale. trun into surrounded by color pic and also check the dpi for best result.
