My PC won't start when my Lexmark printer is connected?

I enjoy a new Vista PC (Vista Ultimate x86) and a Lexmark 5470 printer installed using the Lexmark Vista drivers. Everything works okay BUT, when I turn the PC on it get stuck at the motherboard BIOS splash screen and doesn't respond. If I disconnect the printer from the PC, it starts fine. I can next plug the printer cable back contained by and it prints okay.

The motherboard is an Asus P5B if that makes any difference.

Anyone own any suggestions?

Answer:
I have have this problem myself with a lexmark printer. You necessitate to update your bios to the newest newspaper out there as it is have an issue with the USB controllers.
Hi Barrey,

Your boot sequence must be letting your printer suspend up the system. Another possibility is your printer driver is corrupt or not the Vista driver.

Try uninstalling and re installing the printer driver. Download the latest from the network - don't use the CD that come with the printer. Go to Lexmark's network site for the Vista driver.

Good Luck,

Norm
May be some setting in BIOS that would incentive computer to stop at the BIOS screen.

Register your latest computer with the Manufacturer, so you can achieve Tech Support.
Then communicate with the Manufacturer roughly this matter.
