Answer:
The first person is correct it is a desperate fuser, some of his printer theory is rotten though. Anyway they are not that hard to convert if you are mildly mechanically inclined. Fuser's are not that much if you craving to try and replace them yourself. $76 at this link

This model solely has a couple screw holding the fuser in place (after you procure the case apart) and a gear that pops stale and then fund on when you change it. I do these regularly so it only take me about 15 minutes or so, for a first time you might be looking at 30 minutes or so. Now If you be to take it to a shop you would clear $150 or more for the fuser and $65 to $100 in labor. This is what we charge at our shop.

Finally, here are optical instructions on how to replace it, if this looks like too much, do not attempt it, run it somewhere and compare your costs of new Vs. repaired

Good luck! Hope this help.
That's actually fuser picture. In a laser printer, a static charge is applied to your paper, a fine plastic dust (toner) is sprayed across it and sticks to where on earth there is a charge, and consequently it is passed through a fuser which melts the plastic and bonds it to the page.

The fuser show is a type of rubbery plastic that is designed to be heated minus cracking, but it does eventually break down.

With these models of printers (I use them at work) once this happens, it's better to only throw the printer out and get a contemporary one. Unless you are VERY skilled at repairs, you can't replace just the picture, you have to replace the entire fuser, which is intensely costly.
