i've gone through all the systematic help but not sure if it could freshly be something simple

first of all...try printing a assessment page. If that comes out ok it means that drivers/installation of your printer is ok and the problem is somewhere else.
My recommandation to u is to uninstall the printer, reinstall the drivers and start adjectives over with a try-out page. If this one comes out badly very well the problem is hardware not software.
would it be possible that the printer is running out of ink?
when was the end time that you changed ink cartridges? and how often to you use the printer. The head may still be the problem sometimes it takes extra to verbs them if they have be sitting for while. I refill my cartridges and they come next to a bottle of head cleaner that you can use. I believe it is simply alcohol based. Try saturate a paper towel near some rubbing alcohol, then sit the videotape on it till ink bleads on all sides. Now re-install the videotape and run the head cleaner a further time.

When did you last convert the ink cartidges?That could well be the problem.
buy a current 1
take out your cart. get some rubbing alcohol and some q-tips. put alcohol on the q'tips, and humanely clean respectively print-head cone in the printer (should be as oodles cones as cartridges) until the q-tips come out clean.
re-install cart. try printing something.
epson printers clog up pretty fiercely. it sucks. but try this. it may work, or at tiniest improve your print standard enough to check for other problems.

Remove your print driver completly, consequently re-install
