Answer:
1)Take Out the print cartridges
2)Unplug the Pwer chord from the printer while it is ON.Wait for 1 Minute
3)Replug the power chord and insert the cartridges.
Check if the On light go OFF..

I don't know the answer to your question, but inside the past two weeks I have a problem with my HP - e-mailed for relief - received a response within two hours - referred me to a fix -- they e-mailed vertebrae with a follow-up to see if it worked for me.
e-mail HP. They volunteer good support.
