Blank page print between background page on HP LaserJet 2430tn?
After every page that prints, a blank page prints, and two blank pages print at the pause.
I've looked over the print settings, and I can't seem to find the problem. Here are the settings:
LPT1
Suppress Blank Pages: ON
Paper Size On Printer: Letter
Paper Size on Job: Letter
Paper Tray: Automatically Select
No. Of Lines: 60
Separator Page: None
I believe those to be the just settings that are relevant. I've tried restarting the Print Spooler, resetting the printer, restarting the computer, and reinstalling the driver.
Nothing seems to work, and I can't find anything on Google.
I consider myself a pretty tech-savvy being, but this has me baffled. Any give support to would be appreciated.
Answer:
Most likely bring is a driver setting NOT a printer setting, especially if it's 1 used on a networked printer.
You record the paper size contained by tray as lettre (so I assume you are in USA)
put together sure the printer driver is set to match this size, and that the document size within word is set to this also.
I can't recall if it's note or A4 is slightly longer, but if either bearing 1 is slightly longer and narrower than the other. So if printer and driver are not set to match it could be throwing procession feeds within odd places.
Try a print from a different application, for example, does a window test page throw a spare page afterwards ? If you print 2 page worth of raw article from Notepad does it throw extra pages. If yes, later remove printer driver and reload it CHECKING all the settings, if they previously looked OK, if you found a setting within driver looked wrong, try that first.
If it still does it, try installing driver on a different PC (laptop?) and test from at hand, if it still does it contact local HP support team, if it doesn't after look into software setup on the "problem" machine.
have spent 5 yrs fixing printers I can assure you most problems of this nature are simply a driver setting, or a printer prospect setting, or can even be the paper tray guides not set right, so middetecting weekly sizes.
it may not be printer problem :) if a teacher typed surrounded by MS office ...he/she probably made page break few extra times. that's with the sole purpose reason. That can one and only be my guess.
or...check paper feeder, sometimes feeder take 2 pages instead of one.
