Resetting the chip on an HP21 print videotape?

I use an HP21 tape, and refill myself. I lost the info on resetting the chip inwardly the cartridge (to fool the printer into thinking that you hold inserted a new videotape, and showing the proper ink level onscreen). It is a process next to tape and inserting the videotape into the printer several times and rebooting once. I just CAN'T remember the process! Any facilitate would be greatly appreciated.

There is no such process available. Some one might enjoy done it by just trial and error and be successful incidentally. Also it may not be healthy for your printer contained by long term. Ask HP directly - it may be immoral too.

contrary to the prior poster, there is such a process. it involves tape those upper outermost contacts (one on each side). i don't hold the instructions in front of me though, so i can't recollect the details.

you might google 'island inkjet help desk'. that website (the third or fourth hunt item returned) might have the actual instructions on it, but i am not 100% sure of that.
