Printer not online?

running window 98 with lexmark z645 cannot bring back printer online checked all drivers installed uninstalled cannot bring back it to recognize printer port any abet PLEASE

I did some research on this, and found the following.

Did you install the software before connecting the printer?

This can raison d`¨ētre your printer not to work on 98.
Do the foll steps:

1). Unplug both USB and power cable on both ends.
2). Connect them after 2 mins.
3). Right click "my computer" --> properties --> Device Manager --> universal Serial bus controller. Check for USB printing support.

If USB Printing Support is missing,

1). try the USB cable with some other port.
2). try near diff USB cable.

Still same issue:
then it must any an issue with computer USB port or Printer's USB port.

If USB printing Support is present, try a tryout page. It will work.
