Lexmark x1180 printer, won`t print contained by black OK colour, any idears since i sling it.?
Answer:
How is the ink level within the cartridge? if interview shows there is ink contained by it, there is a possibility that the commander has dried out. Take videotape out of ur printer and get a saucer or something, place a moistened cloth ot kitchen towel, put the towel contained by the saucer and the cartridge leader side on the tissue or cloth, keep an eye on it , if its dried up it should clear in an hour. seo check it every 5 mins. if there is ink surrounded by cartridge u will see it starting to be soaked up by the tissue.
When u see the ink, elevate it up and dab, not rub, the printing commander, once ur satisfied the team leader is working and is clean, consequently return it to ur printer. Do u know u can refill the cartridges for subsequent to nothing and re-use ur dated on many times over until the print standard is poor.
Let me know if I have be of any help.

I give up on my Lexmark and I now enjoy a Hewlett Packard hppsc1210 all-in-one printer, scanner, copier.
I do alot of photography work on my computer and make lovely pictures using Kodak photo dissertation..no compaints with this printer.
Soak the bottom of the tape in a small dish of blue Windex for more or less 10 minutes. Install and run a print head cleaning.
Make sure this is a hugely shallow dish of blue Windex (doesn't have to be Windex, any blue cup cleaner will do) The fluid should only touch the severely bottom of the cartridge (where the ink comes out)
