Help near installing HP 2610 Printer.?

Will not show up time after time, although using drivers from HP website. Lost disk so cannot install from it. Lost scan first, then printing, but will still copy. Grrrrrrrrrr. Also System Restore stopped working same time, as did PlugNPlay.

Answer:
It sounds approaching you may have some dilapidated or missing system files preventing you from loading the printer. Try checking system files. You'll need your install disk.

Click start > run > type contained by "sfc /scannow" > OK. (No quotes and note the space between sfc and /scannow.) If any destabilized or missing files are found you'll have to insert the install disk. When the scan is finished, restart the computer and see if the problem is fixed.

If not, you might own to do a repair install. This simply overwrites your exisiting operating system with a fresh copy. It will not transfer your personal settings or any installed programs. When finished, you'd have to reinstall any Windows updates that come out after the install disk was made (that includes SP2 if it's not on the disk. I'm guessing you're using XP.) This contact will give you instructions and actual peak shots of what you will see. If you have something excluding XP this site will give other instructions as resourcefully.
