Not all printers work near all operating systems(98, 200, XP). I purchased a hot HP desktop and my few years old Hp printer is not compatible. No brand new driver downloads available. HP techs stated not usable. Had to buy new printer; upgraded to color laser. So no loss. still use other printer for copies.
