Error message on my HP Photosmart C7180.. TT_TT?

hmm... I assume It's cuz I said to not install the USB cable... Anyway, when I try to scan on my HP photosmart C7180, there is a error message when I press Scan to computer. It say There are no scanning option and to look to manual for trouble shooting. =_=

Extra details:I looked at the book, it have nothing on it. I looked at oblige and support and it said to uninstall then install. I tried that. I sent an email to HP but they havent sent one put a bet on yet. -.-; And also, I didnt connect my USB right when I bought the printer. I bought it the articulate after, and when I connected it, It said that there would be key problems with my PC if I install it. So I canceled it. TT_TT Please back me if you can and thank you. TT_TT

Answer:
i have a printer resembling that but its a C6100 i think you should uninstall it and after install the cable with the printer as at like peas in a pod time! and when you do reinstall it follow the instuction manual!
Retry it and install the cable... that would be my suggestion.
