Since Lexmark is rate the worst printer by PC Magazine and HP and Canon are rated the best, I would definately progress with the HP. Lexmark ink is expensive too.
HP! I enjoy has a ton of printers and HP seem to be the only one I hold purchased that lasts! I buy a up to date printer and it ends up in the trash and I drag my HP put money on out.

printing graphics and pix- go next to Epson
everyday use- HP
i have an HP and it is awesome and same go my parents and my sister! they work very capably, are durable and wont let you down. explicitly my pick and best bet.
