I cannot bring back my printer (Dell 924) to print only within b&w even tho I go into the center and it shows b&w lone it still prints in color. I also manually set the printer to b&w on the printer itself and that will work one and only if I'm printing from the printer itself. Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

may be ur software is not installed properly try to install it properly again u can do it through b/w resort only no other approach is awailable or another manual entry is convert ur image as b/w consequently print it
Um, do you have the color and black cartridges within the right place?
Honestly, I've mixed them up before myself.
If they ARE within the right spot, you might try removing the color cartridge.
