My prints are coming out particularly pink and stripey, any accepted wisdom?
All six ink cartridges are exotic,
the pictures were predominantly green, but after some fiddling near the two red cartridges the pictures are now pink.
There are wasted horizontal lines of blue accross the picture, spaced out by about 4mm

Change your colour tape. You have run out of ink.
crappy ink. adaptation the cartridges.
Clea out the printerheads, run a print test and see that adjectives is well near it, and then try to print again.
sounds resembling u need to run the commander cleaning program u can do this normally from start adjectives program cannon printer and then the diag program, i dont know what its call but will be something like "cleaning" "diagnostic" etc

Clean the head. Can't help near a Cannon but I do know that Epson tell you that it may obligation up to SIX cleanings to get posterior to "real" quality again - so be prepared - and I know from experience, it's true!
I have a problem with my Cannon printer. Tried everything, topical cartridges, deep cleaning, cleaned print team leader with alcohol and a soft brush. Nothing worked, go to a little independent shop where on earth they were incredibly helpful, they said that I needed a spanking new print head. I'm going to buy a modern printer as print heads are really expensive.
Was told that the print head is supposed to be cleaned after every colour printing episode as the nozzles take blocked.
I'm able to still print black but it's not wonderful qualitity.
