own you tried a refill utensils? I know they say you cant fill up on these cartridges but that's to encourage you to buy branded ones. Lexmark enjoy a tiny print head as constituent of the cartridge which help with the excellent element they produce and also puts up the price.
you can however refill them at a fraction of the price and still carry good results after two or three refill.
that's how lexmark make their money, by inks as their printers are so cheap, best one to buy would be epson, inks are separate, so your good money and are around lb25 for multipacks
Canon tend to have separate ink tank, which can cost as little as lb6 each but the one and only real means of access to save on printer ink costs is to buy an ink stock up kit and stock up the cartridge yourself.
For your Lexmark, the apparatus may put you back more or less lb10 and will refill your cartridges perchance 3 or 4 times.
I tried HP printers but the ink cost a small fortune.
I would suggest any Epsom printer as they are relaible and the ink is not bad if bought online.

I Have an Epson, running on "Continuous Ink Supply System", within the last 18 months, 1000+ Photos, in the region of 3 packs of composition, great results. Cost of ink...about lb20.00

Kodak just come out with a unmarked line of incredibly cheap home use printer beside get this low cost cartridges. They enjoy a cost per page just rather more than half that of HP. See if those are available where on earth you are. They just come out so it may not be an option.
However Canon, a printer that take a PG-40 black cartridge and CL-41 color cartridges would be you subsequent best option.
