How do you know if your printer is an Ink Jet printer?

Something tell me the answer will be very unmistakable. I have a Hewlett Packard:

Deskjet F340

I considered necessary to buy some iron-on transfers but it said only for 'ink jet' printers. Wanted to be sure. appreciation. :)

Answer:
There are two main types you could hold. Ink Jets or Laser printers. One "squirts" the ink and if you put it in sea, the ink would run. The other (laser) "burns" the ink in and it wouldn't run if you did. The DeskJET series is an ink spout printer.
if it takes ink cartridges it is an ink squirt, and yes urs is, because its a deskjet model.
if its a "deskjet" its a inkjet printer. sounds like its an HP (the brand) printer huh. should work fine
yes it is an ink spout but go to the URL take a copy of the user guide
