A problem near a HP all-in-one psc 750 printer?

This printers works OK when I print something from a document but not when I try and do something from the 'HP Director'. When I try to any scan pictures or documents or copy something it doesn't respond.
It is not consistent- some times it comes up with 'there is a problem and it requirements to close'. There is a lot of systematic info given. It does occasionally copy something, it also quite regularly simply crashes (not the intact computer) and also changes (mainly removes) the colour on the eyeshade.
I have used the driver discs to no avail. The troubleshooting comes up beside a problem with the nouns between the printer and computer.
Any suggestions?

travel to all printers and build sure the microsoft one is dissabled

I have the same problem beside the HP Director. It was because I have just installed IE7. I delete it & all returned to usual. Although Im fairly sure HP enjoy resolved this issue. I guess it might be worth a look.
Right click My Computer. select disc management. Check Universal Serial Bus for a +. If missing, delete and reinstall all printer software. If you are using Vista, find the new drivers for scanner and printer.
