Can you relate me why i am getting an error message motto that my lexmark X3470 cover is undo?

I suggest it is closed properly, but before that error message i get a message saying that I am using the wrong ink catridge, please aid me?

It could be a sensor problem, give it a virtuous clean up or within some printers there is a Little button to make clear to the printer that it is closed, it could have broken rotten.
Did you have the tape refiled? :)
it could be cover is not closed properly or door sensor is unpromising
