What do you do when your printer does not acknowledge Windows Vista?

I hold a new computer next to Windows Vista but a couple year old printer that doesn't work near it. HP doesn't have untried drivers or software prepared yet.

Answers:
Often you can use XP drivers or printer relations or series drivers to get around this. For instance, if you own an HP Deskjet 722c, you may be able to select & use legally generic HP deskjet drivers or 700 series drivers.
buy a new printer
can't do anything short the updated drivers for the printer you have...if you really necessitate to print you have to buy a vista practised printer..sorry
You should post the model number.

HP has a all-inclusive print driver for Vista which is supposed to work with nearly every printer HP have made since 2001.

You can get it here:

Sorry to voice, Vista is still not compatible with alot of printers, scanners, and other new devices. There are kinks that are still person working on with Vista and thats one of the most important problems. I had a brandnew Vista laptop and it sucks. When I type it freezes, the touchpad stops working. Sent it within 3 times and nothing be done!! Going back tomorrow as we speak. I suggest find other medium of printing or find a printer that does work with Vista...
You chuck it out the fanlight cussing profusely lol. J/K Unfortunately thats a big problem with Vista and several things arent compatible yet. Have you tried to install it next to a differant driver? Vista should have a document of printer drivers and may have one similar that will work. I know i have a Citizen printer that works using a Epson driver. Anyway Goodluck. if that dont work call HP and se if they enjoy a suggestion or a timeframe when a fix will be coming out.
I'm having duplicate problem with my Lexmark printer. I surmise we are out of luck and will have to move about buy a new printer (again!). If they haven't created updated drivers by immediately, they probably won't because any electronic 2 years old (by their standards) is archaic. Sorry. You could check on www.drivers.com though. Someone there might be capable of help.
