Whats the best rag to use on a laser print, it does a single leave behind to print?

If you use the wrong treatise can it ruin your printer?
Would inkjet paper work?
Its an hp 9500n laser printer.

Answer:
Laser is usually reasonably tolerant on what kind of tabloid is acceptable. As long as it doens't curl up surrounded by the printer due to heat it should work fine.

While inkjet tabloid would work, it'd be a waste of money. Inkjet weekly is usually quite a bit more expensive than the regular "copy paper" that laser printers use due to extra amount of "clay" to engage the ink. Laser don't use "ink" and thus don't need the clay.

Go to HP.com, budge to support, and enter your model, and it'll tell you which "media" is legitimate and which ones are recommended.
use laser paper instead of inkjet quality newspaper
Laserjets do not use "passes" to print, unlike inkjets. The paper simply go thru it once and it gets printed from the top of the page to the bottom.

And do NOT use inkjet newspaper to print in laserjets. You can ruin your printer. The origin is that specialized inkjet paper resembling photo papers have a chemical coating on top to hold ink.

Laserjet printers have a fuser at the conclusion of the printing process that heats the toner and fuses it to the treatise. This is why your paper comes out hot.

If you do put inkjet broadsheet into your printer, the heat will liquefy the chemical coating and it may get glue all over your fuser. Then you obligation to go replace the fuser and any other rollers which hold gotten smeared with that melt chemical goo.

Besides, yours is a high-end laserjet, dont risk it. Just use normal organization printing paper for your laserjets. If you do necessitate specialized paper, go and get one that is formulated for laserjets - resembling HP Laserjet tough paper, etc.
The "best" thesis to use of course would be the broadsheet specifically packaged as "laser" treatise, but in lots cases ink-jet paper is faultlessly fine too.

Black laser printers print in a single slip away. Color laser printers actually enjoy four "passes" but it it is a single pass through the device.

Assuming you are asking more or less plain uncoated paper (sometimes referred to as "UFS" for uncoated free sheet), any will work fine in your laser printer and will not do damage.

Uncoated rag specifically marked as inkjet quality newspaper may be a little smoother and somewhat denser (to help preserve the liquid ink from soaking surrounded by to the paper), and maybe for a time brighter (as inkjet is more typically a color printing process). Many times, however, a paper businessman will package alike paper surrounded by different wrappers (i.e. inkjet, laser, all purpose, etc.) and may even get rid of them at different prices, garnering a premium for the inkjet weekly. Just a marketing ploy more than anything else.

Beyond plain uncoated paper, tons special papers for inkjet purposes are "coated" and then pressed to bring in a very smooth, thorny and glossy finish on the thesis. The coating is typically mineral - white clay, titanium dioxide, etc. - not plastic. This is typically marked as photo newspaper and it is designed for inkjet printers only.

If you print clay coated article in a laser printer, most predictable you won't damage the printer, but it won't print intensely well, and the laser "ink' (which is melt plastic and carbon black) will have a bias to flake off as it can't stick to the ultra smooth surface. Also, the coated dissertation probably won't take an electrostatic charge as all right which also determines how the laser "ink" is distributed.

One last word of preventive, is that some really high come to an end coated ink-jet paper may certainly have some plastic within the coating, and the heat from the laser printer may defrost this, which will damage your laser printer.

So best bet, don't put any soft paper though your laser printer.
